go to church today, frown at the building tomorrow
so up and down
such a great example of what this breed of a christian looks like
walk this way, dress this way, speak that way
such a great example of what a diligent student
or employee looks like
the knowledge rolls and compounds
the smiles are always around charming the wits off many of you
while inside everything is up and down
up and down, up down
you'd never know the struggle deep
in the beating heart waiting for a moment to stop
awaiting an opportunity to change its post, switch positions
waiting to not be up and down
not in and out of God
not high low on life
not realistic about reality
but impatiently waiting for the opportunity to escape
and in the mean time
up down
